PUGs has come a long way since early 2015. In that time the group has worked in partnership with Community Greenspace to ensure that facilities at the Rec are improved. To date there have been works completed on the play park, the terracing and the Pavilion.
The group has also tidied up the perimeter area of the car park, cutting back old vegetation from the fence area and planting a new border at the parking entrance.
The fence has been painted and there will be new bulbs and shrubs planted when appropriate and a disabled picnic bench will be installed and the lower floor of the Pavilion will be painted.
These are all projects that PUGs have committed to and are part of a planed schedule of works in additio there is an exciting and ambitious plan for a great deal more.
As part of the early consultation process and subsquent discussions there are i the region of 17 ideas for improvements. They range from relatively small bulb planting to large scale building projects, the group are currently considering options and the best way forward to implement these exciting projects.
